Senior breakfast is Friday, May 24th at 8:30 A.M. in the Middle School cafeteria. Enter through the student parking lot entrance through the high school cafeteria to the middle school cafeteria. Please follow dress code with the exception of college or military shirts are acceptable. Graduation practice follows immediately. You will be bused to Stambaugh Auditorium and back to the high school. (Stamp)
A cart of withdrawn library books (fiction) is available in the HS Media Center. If you would like to add to your personal library please stop by the HS Media Center to look through the books--they are free for the taking.
Seniors who received overdue notices MUST visit the Media Center to settle their accounts or they will not receive their diplomas.
Students in grades 9-11 who owe library fees should come to the Media Center to settle their accounts as well.

On June 15th Chestnut Ridge Park will be hosting the Fabry 5k run/2 mile walk in memory of Scott Fabry. Registration will be at 8 AM and the race starts at 9 AM. Proceeds will go to the Fabry Scholarship. Sign up at active.com/5k-race/hubbard-oh or call Jennifer Gasser at 330-360-5582. (Gasser)

Baccalaureate is today, May 20th at 6:00 P.M. at St. Pat’s. Please arrive by 5:45 and go to the basement where you will line up. Wear your gown but no cap. (Stamp)

Reminder to Spanish Club Members: The Club picnic is today, May 17th at Chestnut Ridge Park from 3:30 to 5:30 P.M. Don’t forget to wear your Spanish Club t-shirt. (Badurik)
Any Freshmen wishing to run for a Sophomore Class officer’s position is asked to gather 25 non-repeating signatures and submit these to Mrs. Shattuck in room 114 by the end of the day today, May 17th. Please put your name and desired position clearly at the top of the paper. Available positions are President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary and Class Historian. (Shattuck)

Congratulations to the following track & field athletes: Taking 1st place at the County meet were Matt Jones in the shot put and Christian Bennett on the 400 meter dash. Taking 2nd were Melissa Thomas in the 400 meter dash and the boys 4 x 100 meter relay consisting of Lendon Dobay, David Vavrinak, Rashad Pennington and Ian Lowry. Third place was earned by the 4 x 400 meter boys relay team of Dillon Marx, Zach Hanley, David Vavrinak, and Lendon Dobay. Congrats to Megan Vavrinak for taking 1st place in the long jump at the AAC meet, Matt Jones 2nd in the shot put, Christian Bennett 3rd in the 400 meter. (Greenamyer)

Seniors: The Vindicator will be listing significant scholarship earned by area high school students in the paper once again this year. The guidelines are: The scholarship must be worth at least $5000.00 per year; students receiving full-tuition scholarships may submit a photo to be published in the paper (wallet sized photo).
If you meet the guidelines and would like your information published, please come down to guidance and fill out a Vindicator Scholarship Form. Deadline is today, May 16, 2013.
These are scholarships only, no grants will be listed. (Haidaris)

The Hubbard Baseball Boosters will also holding a “Run for Home” where you can run 5K or do a 2 mile walk on Saturday, May 18th at Harding Park. Proceeds benefit boy’s baseball and a portion will be sent to benefit those injured in the Boston Marathon tragedy. See any Varsity baseball player or come to the main office for registration forms.
