Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS)

What is PBIS? PBIS is a framework that guides school teams in the selection, integration and implementation of evidence-based practices for improving academic, social and behavior outcomes for all students.

PBIS emphasizes four integrated elements:

  • Data for decision making

  • Evidence based interventions and practices that support varying student needs (multi-tiered)

  • Systems that efficiently and effectively support implementation of these practices

  • Continual progress monitoring to ensure outcomes are met

At Hubbard High School, PBIS integrates acknowledgements (such as scratch-offs, excellence awards and postcards) with consistent academic and behavioral expectations throughout the entire building.

We encourage our parents to continue to reinforce the fundamental idea of Hubbard P.R.I.D.E. outside of school to help bridge the gap between home and school.
