STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

Juniors and seniors can sign up for College Rep presentations in the guidance office.

Student Athletes - NCAA eligibility requires all ACT / SAT test scores be sent directly to NCAA. When registering for ACT / SAT you must use NCAA Code 9999. If you have questions, see your guidance counselor.

ACT information is available in the Guidance Office. It is your responsibility to sign up and pay by the deadlines. You can register online @www.act.org.

SENIORS: OSU requires ACT scores sent directly from testing agency. Please mark OSU as score recipient when registering for ACT/SAT. Other schools may require scores sent directly from ACT…check on the college website.

SENIORS: If you apply to a college/university online, you MUST let your counselor know so we can mail a transcript. Your application will not be processed without a high school transcript.

SENIORS: Please turn in a copy of your Activities Resume to the guidance office. We will use that when making student nominations for awards, etc.

PSAT test date is October 10th. The test is offered to Sophomores for practice and to Juniors for National Merit Competition. The cost is $18.00 and you can sign up and pay with Mrs.Hinkle in the Guidance Office. Sign Up deadline is October 5th.

The Trumbull County Entry Level and Seasonal Employment Job Fair will be Thursday, September 20, 2018 from 3 - 7 pm at the Eastwood Mall .

Twenty Under 20 Award Nomination Forms are available in the guidance office - on the school website and the form has been posted on Remind.com.

Nomination forms must be submitted by September 21, 2018.

Football tickets will be on sale in all lunches every Friday during Football Season. Student tickets bought at the High School are $5.00. All tickets purchased at the gate are $7.00.

CCP Information: Current sophomores and juniors that are interested in taking College Credit Plus courses NEXT year must have the qualifying ACT scores to be eligible for the program. The February ACT date is the LAST test date that can be used for CCP qualification. That means that you have the October, December and February ACT test dates. It is your responsibility to get signed up for the ACT by the registration deadline.

Reminder for Seniors-Turn in the records for your meningitis shots to the High School Main Office or the Nurse by Thursday, Sept. 6th. (Eger)

Art Club sign ups are underway. All students in a first or second semester art class may sign up with Mr MacMillan in room 118 between now and Friday September 14th. If you have any question please ask Mr MacMillan.

Any 9th or 10th grade student interested in the TCTC Junior Air Force ROTC after school program should see Ms. Carsone or Mrs. Haidaris - the deadline is September 6th.

The Speech and Debate team will be having a meeting after school today, September 5th in room 112 . This meeting is for current speech team members and anyone interested in joining the team this year. At this meeting we will answer all questions you may have regarding the speech team. Wednesday September 5th in room 112 after school.

The first meeting for Students Against Destructive Decisions aka SADD will be today, September 5 immediately after school in Miss Davis's room 202. This will be a brief introductory meeting to add new members and welcome returning members. All grades are welcome. The cost to join is $5. Please bring your dues to the first meeting. Again, even if you have never been in SADD before, you can still join this year. If you cannot make this meeting or if you have questions, please see Miss Davis. (Davis)

Are you iterested in technology, engineering, business, media or graphic design ? Then come check out the HHS Robotics team! We are welcoming new members Tuesdays in September after school in room 204. We’re more than just Robotics! Come be a part of the sport for the mind!

Attention all students taking a Spanish Course. If you’d like to become a member of the Spanish Club please turn in the membership form and $5.00 dues by Tuesday, Sept. 11th.

Do you like to argue ? Have a flair for drama ? An interest in law ? Then you would ba an excellant candidate for the 2018-19 Mock Trial competition team. We will hold our first meeting of the year on Thursday, Sept. 6th in room 206 to discuss the team, events and this year’s case. Please try to be there promptly by 2:30. See Mrs. Wack if you cannot attend.

There will be a Business Club meeting after school today, Sept. 5th in room 214. We will be electing officers for the year and working on our business plan. Please plan to stay for at least a half hour. New members are welcome.
