Elementary school students compete in annual spelling bee



Hubbard Elementary School held its annual school spelling bee on Friday, January 11, 2019. Winner Ashlyn Martin will now move on to compete at the 2019 TCESC Spelling Bee held at Hubbard High School on February 27, as well as The Vindicator Spelling Bee at Youngstown State University on Saturday, March 16, 2019, at 9 a.m. in Kilcawley Center’s Chestnut Room.

The administration, staff and students would like to extend their congratulations to Ashlyn, runner-up Ace Johnson and all of the participants. The district would also like to thank judges, Brenda Cepleci, Diane Prezioso and Laura Manhollan and pronouncer, Leah Orlowski for volunteering their time.
