STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

CCP Information: Current sophomores and juniors that are interested in taking College Credit Plus courses NEXT year must have the qualifying ACT scores to be eligible for the program. The February ACT date is the LAST test date that can be used for CCP qualification. That means that you have the October, December and February ACT test dates. It is your responsibility to get signed up for the ACT by the registration deadline.

Sophomores: Youth Leadership Mahoning Valley is now accepting applications for the leadership program. If you have the potential for great leadership and would like to apply, please pick up an application from Mrs. Hinkle in the guidance office. Completed applications are due to the guidance office by Wednesday, Oct. 31. There is a tuition fee of $200 in order to participate in the program.

Attention all students interested in joining the Wrestling Team: We will be holding open mat sessions every Wednesday at 6:00 PM in the Roosevelt gym We will also continue with weightlifting on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Both open mat and weightlifting will continue throughout the month of October. Please plan on attending any one of these sessions so you can sign up for the team. (Lewis)

Anyone student who would like to be on Stage Crew or Make-Up and Costumes for the Fall Play please sign up in the Main Office with Mrs. Killian.

Hello 9th grade English Festival Team Members! Please check your school email for a special message by way of our English Festival Google Classroom account!

Things are heating up for Antsy and Calvin now that Lexie has entered onto the landscape...where is this all going? Only those who read "The Schwa Was Here" truly can tell!

Please attend Tuesday's after school meeting in Room 119 from 2:30 to 3:00 at the middle school, remembering to bring your fully completed parental permission form and $8.00 registration fee, to find out!

In an effort to effectively hear concerns of the student body, Student Council has placed "Student Concern" cans in each of the English classrooms. Please fill out one of the provided forms and place it into the can. Appropriate concerns will be discussed by Student Council members on a bi-weekly basis and then taken to Ms. Yobe during our monthly Student Advisory meetings. Thank you. (McCleery)
