Hubbard High School qualifies 21 students to State History Day

Hubbard High School did very well at Youngstown State University’s regional history competition on Saturday, April 6, 2019. Twenty-one students qualified for the State History contest at Ohio Wesleyan University on Saturday, April 27, 2019. YSU’s regional contest consists of students from Trumbull, Mahoning, Columbiana, Ashtabula and Portage counties. This year’s theme was “Triumph and Tragedy.” Hubbard High School had their own history day in early February and had their US History and US Government students compete in that event in multiple categories and then sent over 40 students to compete at YSU. Teachers of those two subjects include Rich Perline, Tom King, Mary Davis, and Ross Stoffer. The state qualifiers were as follows:
