Hubbard High School senior Delaney Panigall was recently recognized for her outstanding achievement at the YWCA Mahoning Valley’s Young Women with Bright Futures Awards Ceremony.
Panigall, who was nominated by her school counselors, was one of 29 local students honored for her leadership skills, academic achievements, creativity and volunteerism. As part of her nomination, Panigall had to complete a service project to benefit the YWCA. She chose to host a food drive through her volleyball club team, Mahoning Valley Premier Volleyball. Panigall ended up collecting approximately 100 items.
Each honoree received a $500 award provided by Denise DeBartolo York. Panigall plans on attending Youngstown State University for biology upon graduation from Hubbard.
