Normally at this time of year, Hubbard staff and students would be gathered at the high school gymnasium to honor all of our veterans at the district's annual Veteran's Day assembly. Unfortunately, this year plans needed to be changed. Students in grades 5-8 at Hubbard Middle School rose to the occasion by making over 1,000 cards and letters to give to our local veterans as a gesture of their thankfulness and appreciation for our veterans' service to this great country. Also, Hubbard Middle School Student Council members made 100 treat bags for our local veterans.

Teacher/Student Council Advisor Mrs. Kelli Komlanc along with Vice-Principal Mrs. Tracie Liptak and Principal Mr. Brian Hoffman, delivered the cards and treat bags to the Hubbard VFW on Veteran's Day. Jesse Regan, Commander at the Hubbard VFW, will give the treat bags and cards to veterans at the Hubbard VFW, as well as the Youngstown VA Clinic's food bank for veterans. Hubbard Middle School students and staff would like to extend their sincere gratitude to our veterans for their service so we can have our freedoms!
