Hubbard senior places second in WKBN-TV scholarship contest

Hubbard senior Gianna Williams recently placed second in WKBN’s Caring for Our Community Tom Holden Memorial Scholarship contest, earning herself a gift basket and Amazon gift card. More than 225 local juniors and seniors entered the annual contest, which tasks students with creating a public service announcement (PSA). Williams wrote her PSA about the American Cancer Society. She will be featured in commercials on WKBN-TV throughout the next month. She plans to use the gift card to purchase video equipment for her YouTube channel.
