Hubbard students collect blankets and water bottles for breast cancer patients

Throughout the month of October, students in Hubbard Schools donated 70 water bottles, 68 blankets, and $324 to purchase those items in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Mia King, a sophomore in the Career and Community Development class, paired up with Mrs. Schellhorn to organize this blanket and water bottle collection to benefit local breast cancer patients. Mrs. Schellhorn's nonprofit, Pink Lights the Way, will oversee the distribution of these items to facilities around Northeast Ohio. These items will be given to women during chemo, radiation, and pre-op appointments to lift their spirits during treatment.
