At Capital University on Saturday, April 20, Hubbard students showcased their projects at the 2024 Ohio State History Day. Luke Wack and Jon Miller won the "National Historical Maritime Award" for their project, "In Behalf of Humanity: The Surfmen of Pea Island." Other projects included Nicole Allison, Grace Frohman,and Mara Vargo with "Sojourner Truth, "Ain't I A Woman"; Delaney Thomson with "John Young, The Founder of Youngstown" and Abbygale Stayer and Madison Hipkins with "Emmett Till: The Boy Behind The Movement".
