Hubbard Students Win Awards at Ohio State History Day

On April 27 Hubbard High School competed in State History Day at Ohio Wesleyan University. Twenty-one students had qualified from the regional competition at Youngstown State University. The theme for this year’s National History Day Event was “Triumph and Tragedy” Hubbard High School had their own History Day in late February where the sophomore and junior students participated and then forty-five students went to the YSU History Day.


Taylor Perline was named Honorable Mention (4th place) in the Individual Performance category. Her performance was entitled "Women’s Fights". Andrea Dull, Mallory Greenamyer and Sidney Marenkovich won the Braided Path Award sponsored by the Shawnee Tribe. Their Group Exhibit was titled, : "The Lewis and Clark Expedition; The Beginning and the End of a Culture".
