National School Bus Safety Week
October 21-25
Hubbard Exempted School District has seventeen bus routes.
We have seventeen drivers who safely and efficiently transport over 1000 students a day. These drivers are up early making sure the bus is safe and warm for the children. They are the first people the kids see when they leave the house in the morning and the last people they see when they get home from school. They are always greeted with a friendly "good morning" and "have a good day" when the children get off the bus.
We have three aides that assist the drivers and two mechanics who keep the buses in great running condition.
We would like to thank the drivers, aides, and mechanics for all they do and their care and dedication to the safe and effective transportation of Hubbard’s children.
Student evacuation drills were practiced last week, so the children know what to do in an emergency situation.
We have had many red light violations with the stop arm out this year. Please be careful when you are approaching a school bus and watch for the flashing lights, they are there to make you aware that a child is getting on or off the school bus.
