What decision has been made about graduation for this year’s senior class?
In order to adhere to the best practices outlined today, April 29, 2020, by Governor Mike DeWine and Dr. Amy Acton regarding graduation ceremonies and to follow the recommendations set forth by the Ohio Department of Education, Hubbard Schools has decided to move forward with its original plans for a virtual graduation ceremony, as it is the state’s most preferred option. Hubbard Schools will work with Stambaugh Auditorium to host the virtual event. All members of the senior class will sign up for a time on either Monday, May 11, 2020 and Tuesday, May 12, 2020, to walk across the stage at Stambaugh Auditorium, in their caps and gowns, to receive their diplomas. Each student will be permitted to have two family members present for the occasion. All parts of the ceremony will be edited together into a final version, which will be broadcast on Stambaugh Auditorium’s website Thursday, May 28, 2020, at 6 p.m. The virtual graduation ceremony will also be broadcast on our district website and social media accounts. Senior officers have met with administrators to discuss additional ideas in an effort to make this a memorable event for the class of 2020. We appreciate your continued support of the Hubbard Schools.
