Our 5th and 6th grade students at Hubbard Middle School have been busy turning math into magic! Check out some of their recent projects!
🏙️ Math Land – 6th grade students calculated the surface area and volume of their very own buildings (homes and businesses), then brought them to life with decorations, signs, trees, cars and even people!
🥧 Pi Day Fun – All 5th and 6th grade math students celebrated Pi Day by creating colorful and creative “Pi” tessellations!🐠 Swimmy’s Tank – 5th grade students used their volume skills to calculate the best fish tank for their class pet, Swimmy. After choosing the perfect tank, they decorated their fish and added it to the classroom ocean!
🦋 Butterfly Math – Fifth graders solved problems and added their correct answers to beautifully decorated butterflies.
