Students in a forensic science classroom dust for fingerprints and compare prints while learning investigative techniques with assistance from a school security officer.

Students in Laura McCleery’s Forensic Science class recently practiced dusting for fingerprints and comparing their findings to a fingerprint database. The hands-on activity gave students a glimpse into real-world forensic investigations and the techniques used by crime scene investigators. School Security Officer Coonce also stopped by to share his expertise and provide students with additional insight into the fingerprint identification process.
