Dana Capezzuto’s 2nd grade class just wrapped up their CKLA human body unit in the best way, pretend surgery! Students donned doctor caps and gowns and put their learning to the test. A special shout-out to Dr. Geisler (aka “Dad” to two lucky students in Mrs. Capezzuto’s class!) for stopping by to share what it’s really like to be a doctor. Hubbard High School Spanish students helped spread holiday cheer by visiting the Elementary School and singing Spanish Christmas carols before break. 🎶

We invite you to check out our First Semester Newsletter, which highlights moments and progress from across the district. This look back features updates on safety enhancements, the addition of a new school bus, technology improvements, connections being made at the middle school, and a meaningful donation made in honor of a student who passed away from cancer. Thank you to our students, staff, families and the community for your continued support as we reflect on the first semester and move forward together.

Huge thank you to Sgt. Banic and the Hubbard City FOP, George Stamos and the Hubbard Township FOP, and Captain John Bizub and the Eagle Joint Fire District for coming together to support our school community. Through their efforts, over $800 worth of food was raised for the Hubbard Schools Food Pantry. We’re grateful for their generosity! 💙

A big thank you to our Kommunity 4 Kids and the Hubbard Educators Local Philanthropy (HELP) for donating a Hubbard Eagles coat to every second grader! This long-standing tradition is made possible by their generosity.
We also want to thank our school security officers Todd Coonce and Billy Greene, Hubbard Youth Coalition’s James Chaney, Superintendent Raymond Soloman, teacher Laura McCleary, and football coach/athletic director Brian Hoffman for helping our teachers distribute the coats.

Hubbard Elementary students are spreading holiday cheer! Students in Mrs. Smiley’s STEM class and Mrs. Marino’s art class created paper chains and snowflakes, while Mrs. Barnot and Miss Morris’s classes made beautiful winter moon paintings, which are all now on display at City Hall! ❄️✨
