Hubbard High School is proud to announce that longtime teacher Dan Scarmack has been named the school’s new assistant principal.

Mr. Scarmack has been part of the Hubbard High School family for the past 21 years, teaching Woods Technology. Now, he is excited to take on this new role and continue serving the school community in a leadership capacity.

“I have been blessed to work in this district for more than two decades, and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve our students, families, and staff in this new role,” said Mr. Scarmack.

A graduate of Farrell High School, Mr. Scarmack earned his bachelor’s degree in education from Penn State University, a master’s degree in 21st Century Teaching from Wilkes University, and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Concordia University.

Mr. Scarmack has been happily married to his high school sweetheart for 22 years. His wife is a family and consumer sciences teacher at Warren G. Harding High School. Together, they have three children: Brianna, a 2022 Hubbard graduate and current senior at Youngstown State University majoring in education; Danny, a 2024 Hubbard graduate now in his second year at the United States Naval Academy majoring in cyber operations; and Jacob, a current senior at Hubbard High School who plans to major in forensic science.
