Our ASL seniors recently traveled to Pittsburgh to experience Deaf Yoga! The studio uses interpreters, light color changes, and vibrations to communicate with participants, giving students a unique opportunity to learn about accessibility and Deaf culture in action.
Career exploration got hands-on for Hubbard sophomores! Representatives from Choffin Career and Technical Center introduced students to their Surgical Technology program, allowing them to try on scrubs and explore real medical equipment while learning about careers in healthcare. 🩺

From construction and healthcare to skilled trades and business, our CBI students spent the year building valuable workplace skills! Students gained hands-on experience in career fields connected to their future goals, and recent graduates returned to share their success stories and advice. Students in Mrs. McCleery’s Forensic Science class became investigators for the day! After dusting for fingerprints, students compared their findings to a fingerprint database while learning how forensic experts identify individuals. Hubbard High School students recently enjoyed an afternoon packed with activities during PBIS Fun Day! Students celebrated their positive behavior throughout the school year with kickball, movies, board games, painting birdhouses, reading, corn hole, and more. Hubbard High School’s American Sign Language Club wrapped up the school year with a fun picnic at Harding Park! Students enjoyed Chick-fil-A, games, prizes, outdoor activities, and time together celebrating a great year of friendships and experiences. It was a great way to finish the school year!

Students rotated through hands-on science stations led by Hubbard High School Ecology Club members while exploring science concepts and completing activities in their lab packets. Approximately 80 Hubbard High School seniors recently spent the morning giving back during the school’s fifth annual Senior Community Service Day! Students volunteered throughout the community cleaning parks, assisting local organizations, helping at cemeteries, and completing projects around Hubbard. Thank you to our seniors for making a positive impact! 💙🦅
Addison Sanders once again advanced to the national stage, earning a spot at the Business Professionals of America (BPA) National Leadership Conference in Nashville, Tennessee for the second consecutive year.
Addison competed in the User Experience category, focusing on mobile app and website development, along with a comprehensive social media campaign. The event challenged students to combine creativity with technical skills by designing digital platforms that were both visually engaging and functional.
Qualifying for nationals was a significant achievement, as students first had to advance through regional and state-level competitions. The National Leadership Conference brought together top students from across the country to showcase projects, network with peers, and gain real-world business experience.

Huge congratulations to Hubbard student-athlete Johnathan Brand on an incredible accomplishment! Last month, Johnathan competed at the Level 9 Eastern National Championships in West Palm Beach, Florida, going head-to-head with hundreds of the top male gymnasts in the country.
He delivered an outstanding performance, earning:
🥈 2nd Place All-Around with a personal best score of 68.3
🥇 National Champion on Pommel Horse, one of the most challenging events in men’s gymnastics, requiring elite balance, rhythm and control!
After 10 years in the sport and 20 hours of training each week, year-round, it’s inspiring to see his dedication and hard work pay off at the national level! We are so proud of you, Johnathan!
Early this week, Hubbard’s Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) group hosted a Students Making a Safer Highway (SMASH) Program , an important reminder as we head into prom weekend.
Students learned about the dangers of impaired and distracted driving, hearing firsthand from the State Highway Patrol and our own SRO, Officer Coonce, who were on hand to answer questions and share real-world insight.
One of the most eye-opening parts of the program was a hands-on activity where students attempted tasks while “impaired,” giving them a powerful perspective on how quickly judgment, coordination and reaction time can be affected.
As we celebrate this exciting time of year, we encourage all of our students to make safe, responsible choices! 🚗✨

Two Hubbard High School Ecology Club students recently volunteered at the Hubbard Public Library Shred Day. Ainsley Wagner and Jewlia Evans assisted community members with safely disposing of documents during the event. Their efforts helped support both environmental responsibility and community service!
