Mr. Stoffer’s CCP U.S. Government and U.S. Government classes recently wrapped up a stock market competition! Students worked solo or in small groups, investing $250,000 (virtual money, of course!) in 4–10 companies. Throughout the school year, they recalculated, bought, and sold stocks—and with just one month left, they received a surprise $100,000 to shake things up!

Junior Brody Eckard recently approached elementary principal Mr. Marcello with a meaningful idea —grilling hot dogs for elementary students on the last day of school, inspired by a favorite memory from his own elementary days when then-principal, now-superintendent Mr. Soloman did the same! Mr. Marcello agreed—with one condition: Brody had to help after finals. True to his word, Brody showed up and together, they served grilled hot dogs to students, creating a simple but memorable send-off to summer.

Our fifth and sixth grade students finished the school year with a week full of games and challenges that put their math and problem-solving skills to work. They played board games, completed STEM challenges, and competed in relay races—all while practicing analytical and statistical thinking. The week wrapped up with a Rock Paper Scissors Tournament. Each class had a winner, who advanced to the final round in the gym. At the end of the day, a 6th grade student earned the title of champion! 🏆

Hubbard 10th grade student Taylor Rodgers is adding her creative touch to our campus by painting fire hydrants on school grounds to look like eagles as part of her Career and Community Project! Thanks to Mr. MacMillan for providing the paint. Taylor has plans to paint two more hydrants on school property—so be sure to check them out!

Representative McNally spoke with students in Mary Davis’ government classes about her role in the Ohio House of Representatives, the importance of public service and how state laws are made.Thank you Representative McNally for giving our students a closer look at how our government works!
