In August 2023, Hubbard VFW Post 3767, in partnership with Hubbard Schools, introduced the "VFW Unsung Hero Award" to honor dedicated staff members, including bus drivers, custodians, cafeteria workers, and more, for their essential roles in the lives of our students! Last month, during a staff assembly, the inaugural award was presented to Yolanda Resatar, Hubbard High School’s secretary. Yolanda received a trophy, flowers and a $500 check in recognition of her dedication. Thank you to the Hubbard VFW Post 3767 for helping us celebrate our amazing staff! 👏✨ #UnsungHero #HubbardSchools #VFWPost3767 #ThankYou

Last Friday, we had our annual coat giveaway, and it was a huge success! Thanks to Kommunity 4 Kids and the Hubbard Educators Local Philanthropy ( H.E.L.P.), every second grader received a brand-new Hubbard Eagle winter coat, along with the chance to meet a positive role model from our community. The kids had a great time connecting with mentors from city government, city police, township police, firefighters, the Hubbard Youth Coalition and Hubbard Schools. The goal of the program is to develop positive experiences, relationships and respect between community leaders and our youth. Thank you to everyone who made it a memorable day! #HubbardEagles

We want to remind you about the Hubbard Schools Pantry, a resource available to any student who may need extra food support. If you or your family could use assistance, simply fill out our Food Pantry Request Form (https://forms.gle/4pk9eGxVLpUsbeaw9) or talk to a teacher or school administrator. Once a request is made, food can be sent home with you, or your family can arrange to pick it up from the school – whichever works best! Everything is confidential, and our goal is to ensure that no student goes without the food they need!

Throughout September, our elementary school focused on the important character trait of trustworthiness. Homeroom teachers nominated two students from each class who consistently showed this value all month long. These students were honored by our school counselor Mrs. Slovesko for being great role models! Congratulations to all of our students—keep up the great work! 🌟 #HubbardElementary #Trustworthiness #CharacterTraits #TrustworthyEagles
