📅 School Schedule Reminder

There will be no school on Monday, January 19, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

There will also be no school for students on Friday, January 30, due to staff professional development.

Prior to our holiday break, our Future Educators of America students wrote letters to their favorite Hubbard teachers and delivered them during homeroom. A simple act that went a long way in showing appreciation!

The Hubbard Board of Education is proud to serve our district and community. In order to further engage and connect with our community stakeholders, we would like to offer additional opportunities for you to share your thoughts and questions on a regular basis.

We hope to offer this opportunity for community connection once a month, with dates listed below. At each opportunity, one or two board members will be present. Please feel free to join us for coffee at Hubbard’s Eagle Grille & Tavern from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2026.

Hubbard High School Spanish students helped spread holiday cheer by visiting the Elementary School and singing Spanish Christmas carols before break. 🎶

We invite you to check out our First Semester Newsletter, which highlights moments and progress from across the district. This look back features updates on safety enhancements, the addition of a new school bus, technology improvements, connections being made at the middle school, and a meaningful donation made in honor of a student who passed away from cancer. Thank you to our students, staff, families and the community for your continued support as we reflect on the first semester and move forward together.

Huge thank you to Sgt. Banic and the Hubbard City FOP, George Stamos and the Hubbard Township FOP, and Captain John Bizub and the Eagle Joint Fire District for coming together to support our school community. Through their efforts, over $800 worth of food was raised for the Hubbard Schools Food Pantry. We’re grateful for their generosity! 💙

Hubbard High School 10th graders recently visited Trumbull Career & Technical Center (TCTC) to explore career and technical programs. Students selected three programs to tour and learn about, helping them identify areas of interest as they consider attending TCTC during their junior and senior years.

Hubbard students proudly participated in this year’s TubaChristmas at Stambaugh Auditorium, a beloved Valley tradition that brings the sounds of the season to life. The 2025 event, held on Sunday, November 30, welcomed more than 130 musicians and 80 craft vendors from across the region. TubaChristmas is an annual celebration featuring tuba, baritone and euphonium players performing timeless Christmas carols. Our students were honored to be part of this special event! 🎶

Our Spanish 4 students turned the classroom into a live-action game of CLUE! Students created their own CLUE characters, wrote detailed biographies in Spanish, designed CLUE cards with characters, weapons, and locations, and even dressed the part. They interviewed each other in Spanish to gather clues and solve the mystery! 🕵️‍♂️🔍

Meanwhile, Spanish 3 students hit the runway for a Spanish Fashion Show! Taking on the roles of hosts, judges, and models, they showcased their new vocabulary and grammar skills while strutting wild outfits and fun moves down the catwalk. 💃🕺

Hubbard High School is excited to host its annual Career Fair on January 23, 2026, in the high school gym! This event connects our students with local businesses, trades, colleges and community partners.

Promise Moss, Payson Vingle, Jaida James, Adalyn Manzo, Gracelyn Reese and Bailey Orr organized a fundraiser to support the Youngstown Blue Coats, collecting 237 items, including 171 pairs of new socks and 66 gently used hoodies!

The students presented their donation to Patty Summers, President of the Youngstown Blue Coats, to help those in need in our community.
