Tune in tonight on WFMJ at 6 p.m. to hear from high school intervention specialist Kayla Welsh about our Hubbard Schools Food Pantry! 📺
With the help of Kayla’s students, the pantry:
-Supplies weekly food bags to over 40 families
-Provides over 50 daily grab-and-go bags for students
When we first opened last February, we were serving just 3 families. Less than a year later, we’ve grown tremendously, thanks to the Cody A. Pitts Foundation’s $5,000 donation that got us started, and our ongoing partnership with the Second Harvest Food Bank, which keeps our shelves stocked.
Your support makes a difference! Learn how to help here: https://www.hubbard.k12.oh.us/page/hubbard-schools-pantry

Hubbard High School students Adora Hale and Alaina Niec delivered over 340 toys to Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley this past Friday! This act of kindness was the result of a month-long toy drive organized by the two girls as part of their Career and Community Exploration class service project. Thank you to Deets Mechanical for providing transportation for this donation!

For National French Week, Hubbard High School’s French 4 seniors hosted "La Fête Française", celebrating five French regions with food, games and activities. Students tasted crêpes in Bretagne, took selfies by a Paris Eiffel Tower backdrop, sampled pretzels at a Grand Est Christmas market, competed in a Loire Valley obstacle course, and received lavender sachets in Provence. Leading up to the event, French students explored French-speaking countries, played pétanque and created Pointillist art, bringing French culture to life beyond the classroom!

Our high school students have been working hard in preparation for our upcoming performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream! Join us this weekend as our students bring this classic Shakespearean play to life. We hope to see you there!

This weekend, 16 students from Hubbard Middle School and Hubbard High School participated in the Ohio Music Education Association’s District 5 Honors Choir event. This annual event brings together over 250 students from 20 school districts across Mahoning, Trumbull and Ashtabula counties. Students attended two days of rehearsals, which culminated with a performance at Stambaugh Auditorium on Saturday afternoon. The middle school students (Mariah, Francesca, Emma, Zee, Brooke, Elizabeth, Kennedy, Priscilla, Lucas, Caleb, Austyn and Jax) were under the direction of Ms. Jennifer Rozsa. The high school ensemble (Savoca, Lennon, Richard and Dominik) was under the direction of Mr. Cody Mott.

Reminder: Next Friday, November 1, is a districtwide waiver day. There will be no school for students, as faculty and staff will be in professional development meetings.

In August 2023, Hubbard VFW Post 3767, in partnership with Hubbard Schools, introduced the "VFW Unsung Hero Award" to honor dedicated staff members, including bus drivers, custodians, cafeteria workers, and more, for their essential roles in the lives of our students!
Last month, during a staff assembly, the inaugural award was presented to Yolanda Resatar, Hubbard High School’s secretary. Yolanda received a trophy, flowers and a $500 check in recognition of her dedication.
Thank you to the Hubbard VFW Post 3767 for helping us celebrate our amazing staff! 👏✨ #UnsungHero #HubbardSchools #VFWPost3767 #ThankYou

On Friday, October 4, a select number of seniors were invited to join the Hubbard High School chapter of the National Honor Society, among them was Robert (Brodie) Thomson who attends TCTC. Congratulations to all the new inductees!

We want to remind you about the Hubbard Schools Pantry, a resource available to any student who may need extra food support.
If you or your family could use assistance, simply fill out our Food Pantry Request Form (https://forms.gle/4pk9eGxVLpUsbeaw9) or talk to a teacher or school administrator. Once a request is made, food can be sent home with you, or your family can arrange to pick it up from the school – whichever works best!
Everything is confidential, and our goal is to ensure that no student goes without the food they need!

We are proud to announce the induction of the following students into the National Honor Society -- Taylor Datillo, Miles Harvey, Gus Johnson, Landen Rain, Benjamin Logan and Hannah Stayer.
Join us in celebrating their achievement! 👏

We are excited to share that several of our students have been selected to participate in the 23rd season of the Stambaugh Youth Concert Band (SYCB)! This prestigious group is made up of the top high school musicians from Northeastern Ohio and Northwestern Pennsylvania!

As of October 1, 2024, the Grace Lutheran Church parking lot at 111 Hall Avenue, Hubbard, OH will no longer be available for Hubbard families picking up students from Hubbard Schools. The lot is now reserved exclusively for families of the Head Start program opening inside the church. Both the district and the church appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
