It is with great sadness that we share the sudden passing of our beloved colleague, Becky Reuff. Becky began her career with our district on February 11, 1998, and dedicated the majority of her years of service as a paraprofessional in our Media Center. She touched the lives of countless students and staff with her kindness, dedication and warm presence! We want to extend our heartfelt condolences to Becky’s family and friends during this difficult time.

Our maintenance department is hard at work this summer! Over the next several weeks, they’ll be cleaning and prepping every inch of our buildings to make sure everything is ready for our students’ return.
And it’s not just our buildings—our transportation department is also busy getting our buses in top shape! They’re deep-cleaning, touching up paint, replacing tires, doing light body work, and completing overall repairs to prepare for annual inspections in July and to be ready for students this August!
Help us give both teams a big THANK YOU for all they do behind the scenes to keep our schools and buses safe, clean, and welcoming!

Before school let out, Miss Fortunato and Mrs. Thomson’s 5th grade math classes took their problem-solving outside! Using sidewalk chalk, students tackled Order of Operations problems—wrapping up the year in a fun way!

Our fifth and sixth grade students finished the school year with a week full of games and challenges that put their math and problem-solving skills to work. They played board games, completed STEM challenges, and competed in relay races—all while practicing analytical and statistical thinking. The week wrapped up with a Rock Paper Scissors Tournament. Each class had a winner, who advanced to the final round in the gym. At the end of the day, a 6th grade student earned the title of champion! 🏆

Our 5th and 6th grade students at Hubbard Middle School have been busy turning math into magic! Check out some of their recent projects!
🏙️ "Math Land" – 6th grade students calculated the surface area and volume of their very own buildings (homes and businesses), then brought them to life with decorations, signs, trees, cars and even people!
🥧 Pi Day Fun – All 5th and 6th grade math students celebrated Pi Day by creating colorful and creative “Pi” tessellations!
🐠 Swimmy’s Tank – 5th grade students used their volume skills to calculate the best fish tank for their class pet, Swimmy. After choosing the perfect tank, they decorated their fish and added it to the classroom ocean!
🦋 Butterfly Math – Fifth graders solved problems and added their correct answers to beautifully decorated butterflies.
