BOARD SUMMARY HUBBARD EXEMPTED VILLAGE SCHOOL DISTRICT September 17, 2018

1. Approved the financial reports for the month of August 2018. Financial Summary, SM-2, Check Register, Bank Reconciliation

2. Approved the following board meeting minutes:

August 20, 2018 Regular Meeting 3. Accepted, with gratitude, the following donations: Toshiba $5,000 to the Technology Department Kelly Shaffer $2,171 to the Technology Department HHS Athletic Hall of Fame $500 to the HHS Eagle Mascot Suit Anonymous $100 to Hubbard Elementary Music 4. Approved the removal of one Delta Radial Arm Saw Tag #05110 $2,264.88 from inventory, to be scrapped - no longer working.

5. Approved Resolution #19-08: Accepting the amount and rates as determined by the Budget Commission and authorizing the necessary tax levies and certifying them to the county Auditor, as submitted.

6. Approved the following revised 2018-2019 Student Activity Budget:

Class of 2020 $12,568.02 (Revised)

7. Approved the following transfers (to convert from previous advances approved at the July 18, 2017 meeting). TRANSFERS General Fund to Food Service $1,579.94 General Fund to Athletic Fund $356.32

8. Approved the TCESC 2018-2019 Certified and Classified Substitute Lists, as updated and submitted.

9. Approved the 2018-2019 HEVSD Classified Sub List, as submitted and updated, as per OAPSE negotiated agreement.

10. Approved Resolution #19-09, authorizing the Hubbard EVSD to enter into a shared services agreement with the Trumbull County Educational Service Center beginning August 1, 2018, as submitted.

11. Approved the following ticket sellers for the 2018-2019 school year: Becky Reuff Karen Hinkle

12. Approved a contract modification for Bob Whitacre from Assistant Wrestling Coach for the 2018-2019 season to Volunteer Wrestling Coach for the 2018-2019 season. All coaches are subject to all required certifications 13. Approved the following coaches for the 2018-2019 season, as per HEA negotiated agreement. 14. Non-renewed Brian Hoffman, Weight Training Coach from Winter (December 2017-February 2018) and Spring (March 2018-May 2018), as per HEA negotiated agreement.

15. Approved the first reading of the following board policies, to be adopted at the October 15, 2018 board meeting: 3215 Use of tobacco by Professional Staff 4215 Use of tobacco by Classified Staff 5512 Use of Tobacco 7434 Use of Tobacco on School Premises

16. Approved an adjustment to a two year limited contract for William Collins, Transportation Supervisor, 260 days, per the Non certificated Administrators Factoring System, which was approved on August 20, 2018, to include the effective date of August 13, 2018.

17. Approved the following advisor for the 2018-2019 school year, as per HEA negotiated agreement:

19. Approved Jeanne Alexander, home instruction tutor for HHS grade 11 student, as per posting dated August 31, 2018.

20. Approved Mary Ann Smiley, home instruction tutor for HMS grade 8 student, as per posting dated September 10, 2018.

21. Approved Amy Martin, Tutor, for HES Test Prep/Reading Intervention, 90 days, as per posting dated August 27, 2018.

22. Accepted, with regret, the resignation of Julia Smith, HHS Parapro, effective August 23, 2018.

23. Approved a two year limited contract to Allison Jordan, HHS Parapro, Step 1, 4.0 hrs. per day/5 days per week, effective September 5, 2018.

24. Approved a two year limited contract to Heidi DePasquale, HES Parapro, Step 1, 3.0 hrs. per day/ 5 days per week, effective September 5, 2018.

25. Granted Emily King Senior Privilege and remain a Senior at HHS, and be a part of the Class of 2019, as per Board Policy 5111. 26. Extended the work days of John Dunch, IT Technician, through the 2018-2019 school year, “as needed”.
