Attention Seniors: Please bring your updated shot records to Ms. Eger ASAP!!

There are yearbooks still available to purchase. If you missed out on the 2019 yearbook, you are in luck. The printing company sent a number of extra books this year. The cost is 75 dollars, see Mrs. Schellhorn in room 107 to reserve your copy.

Starting Monday, October14-Friday, October 18, 2019 the Junior Class will be selling "Boo" Bags for $1.00 during lunches. The Boo bags will be delivered to first period classes on Thursday, October 31, 2019. Thanks so much for supporting the junior class.

Freshman

Any freshman interested in running for a class officers' position should submit 25 non-repeating signatures to Mrs. Shattuck in rm. 114 no later than Friday, October 18th. Please print your name and desired position at the top of the form. Available positions are: President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and Class Historian. Good luck!

HUB

Any HUB member who plans on attending YSU's Press Day on Monday, October 21st, needs to turn in his/her permission form to Mrs. Shattuck no later than Wednesday, 10/16. You may not attend Press Day without a permission form.

Clubs

Attention all Spanish Club Members:

If you would like to attend the Day of the Dead Banquet, please submit $10.00 to Mrs. Badurik by Thursday October 17th. Any checks should be written to Hubbard High School. JUST A REMINDER: You will not be permitted to attend the banquet if your fundraiser money is not turned in prior to signing up for the banquet.

Rotary

High School students interested in joining Rotary Club of Hubbard's Interact Club should plan to attend an informational meeting on Wednesday, October 23rd at 2:30 pm in room 105, the computer lab next to the library. If you have questions before the meeting feel free to see Mrs. Bebech in the media center daily before school.

Sports

Girl’s Softball

There will be a meeting for any girl planning on playing softball during the 2019-2020 season. The meeting will be held October 24th at 6:00 pm in the High School cafeteria. Please make sure a parent is able to attend the meeting with you.

Guidance

Sophomores: TCTC Tours are Tuesday, Oct 15 for last names A-L and Thursday, October 17 for last names M-Z. Please check the bus lists in your English class.

Seniors: The 2020-2021 FAFSA is now available!! Please be sure to check the financial aid deadline at the school you will be applying to for next year and have your FAFSA on file by that deadline!!! Remember, the FAFSA is your key to financial aid. The guidance website has a Financial Aid Information tab that has a multitude of information about FAFSA.

Sophomores: Youth Leadership Mahoning Valley is now accepting applications. This leadership program is recognized by colleges nationwide and is a great asset to an activities resume. Applications are available from Mrs. Hinkle in the guidance office and are due by Nov 1. There is a $200 tuition fee to participate.

YSU will be having their Financial Aid meeting on Tuesday, October 22 at 6:30 pm in Kilcawley Center Chestnut Room on the YSU campus. To register, go to: www.ysu.edu/finaid/night

Student Athletes: NCAA eligibility requires all ACT / SAT test scores be sent directly to NCAA. When registering for ACT/SAT you must use NCAA Code 9999. If you have questions, see your guidance counselor.

ACT information is available in the Guidance Office. It is your responsibility to sign up and pay by the deadlines. You can register online @www.act.org.

SENIORS: OSU requires ACT scores sent directly from the testing agency. Please mark OSU as score recipient when registering for ACT/SAT. Other schools may require scores sent directly from ACT...check on the college website.

SENIORS: If you apply to a College/University online, you MUST let your counselor know so we can mail a transcript. Your application will not be processed without a high school transcript.

SENIORS: Please turn in a copy of your Activities Resume to the guidance office. We will use that when making student nominations for awards, etc.

CCP Information: Current sophomores and juniors that are interested in taking College Credit Plus courses NEXT year must have the qualifying ACT scores to be eligible for the program. The February ACT date is the LAST test date that can be used for CCP qualification. That means that you have the October, December and February ACT test dates. It is your responsibility to get signed up for the ACT by the registration deadline. You can sign up at act.org. If you need help signing up for the ACT, please see guidance.

Homework Help is Monday thru Thursday 2:30 - 3:30. Please sign in and be on time.
