Student Announcements

Student Athletes - NCAA eligibility requires all ACT / SAT test scores be sent directly to NCAA. When registering for ACT/SAT you must use NCAA Code 9999. If you have questions, see your guidance counselor.

ACT information is available in the Guidance Office. It is your responsibility to sign up and pay by the deadlines. You can register online @www.act.org.

SENIORS: OSU requires ACT scores sent directly from the testing agency. Please mark OSU as score recipient when registering for ACT/SAT. Other schools may require scores sent directly from ACT...check on the college website.

SENIORS: If you apply to a College/University online, you MUST let your counselor know so we can mail a transcript. Your application will not be processed without a high school transcript.

SENIORS: Please turn in a copy of your Activities Resume to the guidance office. We will use that when making student nominations for awards, etc.

PSAT test date is October 16th. The test is offered to sophomores for practice and to Juniors for National Merit Competition. The cost is $19.00 and you can sign up and pay with Mrs. Hinkle in the Guidance Office. Sign up deadline September 18th.

CCP Information: Current sophomores and juniors that are interested in taking College Credit Plus courses NEXT year must have the qualifying ACT scores to be eligible for the program. The February ACT date is the LAST test date that can be used for CCP qualification. That means that you have the October, December and February ACT test dates. It is your responsibility to get signed up for the ACT by the registration deadline.

You can sign up at act.org. If you need help signing up for the ACT, please see guidance.

All Students: Mrs. Haidaris and Mrs. Lauderman would like you to join HHS Guidance Google Classroom. Use the code bvdzapt to join. The guidance office is no longer using Remind.

Spanish Club: Attention all students enrolled in a Spanish class. If you’d like to join the Spanish Club, turn in your form and $5 fee to Mrs. Badurik in room 111 by Friday September 13th, 2019.

Attention Students: Anyone looking for Service hours, Taste of Hubbard is looking for volunteers to help throughout the day. We will need volunteers on September 29th at Harding Park from 8 am - 12 pm and 12 pm - 4 pm. There will be a sign up sheet in the Main Office. See Mrs. Puncekar.

Hey 1st period classes! Want Donuts?? The Robotic team is holding our annual food drive from September 16th through the 20th. 1 point for each item, 3 points for peanut butter (0 points for Ramen Noodles). The class with the most points wins.

Attention all Seniors: Please make sure you give Ms. Eger an updated shot record which includes a Meningitis Vaccine.

The Eastwood Mall will be accepting applications for the FAB (Fashion Advisory Board) program available to high school seniors, juniors and sophomores. FAB is an excellent opportunity for volunteer hours. FAB members will represent the Eastwood Mall in a variety of events including fashion shows, photo shoots, retail events and mall promotions. Interested students should pick up an application in the guidance office. Students should take their completed applications to the Eastwood Mall Center Court on Wednesday, Sept. 25 from 3:30 - 4: 40 for an open interview.

S20 under Twenty Award: Awarded to outstanding students that show leadership through community service and volunteerism, academic achievement and extracurricular activities. Nominees must be residents of Trumbull county, at least a freshman in high school and no older than 19 years old as of December 1, 2019. Students will submit the 2019 Student Nomination Form along with supporting documents from a nominator. Parents may nominate students. Forms available in guidance -- Students are responsible for submitting forms to the Tribune Chronicle by September 20, 2019.

Attention Girls basketball in grades 7-12, Open Gym will be on the following dates:

Tuesday, September 10th at the elementary school from 6-8

Thursday, September 12th 4-6 at the Elementary school

Attention All Students: If you missed the opportunity to join SADD you may see Ms. Davis this week in room 202. The deadline to sign-up and your deadline to pay is this Friday, September 13. Please have your $5 to Ms. Davis no later than Friday.

The Speech and Debate team will meet after school every day this week for official signups. Please stop by room 112 for the official information. This includes a permission slip to join the team and information about the upcoming season. The forms must be returned by September 23rd. That is the latest they can be accepted. Official practice begin Monday September 16th. At these practices you will choose events, write speeches and learn debate format.

Pre-sale Varsity Football tickets will be on sale on Friday during lunches. Adults will be $6.00 and Students will be $4.00 a ticket. All tickets will be $7.00 at the gate.

Reminder Students: Students are NOT allowed to wear Athletic wear in school.
