CCP Information: Current sophomores and juniors that are interested in taking College Credit Plus courses NEXT year must have the qualifying ACT scores to be eligible for the program. The February ACT date is the LAST test date that can be used for CCP qualification. That means that you have the December and February ACT test dates. It is your responsibility to get signed up for the ACT by the registration deadline.
Seniors - be sure you are checking the FAFSA and scholarship deadlines for the schools you are applying to! (Carsone)
New Castle School of Trades Scholarship Day will be March 9. Registration is at 9:30 am, and testing is at 10:00 am. You must RSVP by March 4 in order to participate - call 1-800-837-8299. Scholarship Day will be held at the New Castle campus - 4117 Pulaski Road New Castle, PA 16101
ACT Supercourse Test Prep is at Ursuline Center - 4280 Shields Road - Canfield, 44406. Course meets 5 Sundays between Jan 6 and Feb 17 from 11 am to 1:45 pm. Test prep for the April national test. Cost $199 - $224 (depending on class size). Call 330-755-2710 to register. (Haidaris)
Rotary Interact members are reminded of the food packing project today, December 19th, at 5pm, at the food bank, located in the basement of First Baptist Church. Plan to stay for an hour and then join Mrs. Bebech for a holiday party until 7.
The Hubbard swim season is under way .... Hubbard swimmers are off to a great start - for the first three meets the boys team have had 2 - 1st place finishes and 1 - 2nd place finish.
Individually - Dom Panozzo broke the high school 500 freestyle record at the first swim meet- congratulations! Hubbard swimmers have had top winners in many events throughout the first 3 meets - swimmers finishing events in first place include - Declan O'Hara - Noah Johns - Dom Panozzo - Sam Esposito - Adam Yoder - Colin McConnell. Second place finishes - Adam Yoder - Nate Wirtz - David Barnes - Sam Wirtz - Noah Johns - Declan O'Hara - Sam Esposito - Dom Panozzo. Third place finishes - Colin McConnell - Adam Yoder - Declan O'Hara - David Barnes - Sam Wirtz - Grace Basham.
