PSAT test date is October 10th. The test is offered to Sophomores for practice and to Juniors for National Merit Competition. The cost is $18.00 and you can sign up and pay with Mrs.Hinkle in the Guidance Office. Sign Up deadline is October 5th.
First Energy's Power Systems Institute: Earn a two year Associate degree in Electric Engineering Technology and be on your way to a career as a line worker in the electric utility industry. College Night at Eastwood Mall is Thursday, Oct. 4th from 5 to 7 P.M. Info on financing, scholarship opportunities and how to apply will be available. This is presented by Eastwood Mall and Kent State Trumbull. Over 60 colleges and universities will be attending.
Attention Seniors: If you did not take your senior portrait for the yearbook at Memory Lane, the time to do that is running out. You MUST call Memory Lane directly at 330-759-4005 by next Friday, Oct. 5. If you are not on their schedule by the Oct. 5th date, your picture will not be in the yearbook. See Mrs. Schellhorn in room 107 with any questions or concerns.
A few yearbooks from last school year are still up for grabs. The cost is $75. Bring a cash or a check made out to Hubbard High School to room 107.
Attention Sophomores: If you would like to represent Hubbard High School at this year's HOBY Youth Leadership Seminar to be held in June, please drop off an Activities Resume and a 500 word essay on the topic: What is Leadership? to Mrs. Hinkle in the guidance office by Friday, October 19. At the HOBY Seminar you will participate in leadership training, meet state leaders, gain new skills and inspiration to lead change. There is a $225.00 fee for attendance in the program. (Haidaris)
CCP Information: Current sophomores and juniors that are interested in taking College Credit Plus courses NEXT year must have the qualifying ACT scores to be eligible for the program. The February ACT date is the LAST test date that can be used for CCP qualification. That means that you have the October, December and February ACT test dates. It is your responsibility to get signed up for the ACT by the registration deadline.
There will be a meeting for any girl planning softball for the 2018-19 seasonon October 10th at 7:00 pm in the Middle School Cafeteria. Please have a parent attend the meeting with you. (Zagorec)
