HHS student, teacher help to save choking child

Thanks to the quick thinking of science teacher Irene Pizanias and freshman Baron Reynolds, a Hubbard High School student was able to recover from a choking incident. Pizanias and Reynolds sprung into action on Thursday, March 3, 2022, after a student started choking on a snack while reviewing for a test. Pizanias immediately jumped out of her seat and began to perform the Heimlich maneuver. After many attempts, the snack remained lodged. That's when Reynolds jumped in to help. The snack eventually broke free.
