The annual state level Mathcounts competition was held on Saturday at Columbus State Community College in Columbus, Ohio. The competition was sponsored by the Engineers Foundation of Ohio. The top 162 students from 59 Ohio schools in grades 6-8 that qualified gathered for both individual and team competitions. Joey Esposito, Ace Johnson, Mia MacMillan and Taylor Rodgers, all 8th graders at Hubbard Middle School, represented the Eagles during various individual and team rounds. Hubbard Middle School’s Mathcounts team qualified at the regional competition held at Youngstown State University earlier in the year.
