On February 3rd and 10th, 2024, students from Hubbard Middle School competed against 20 other Trumbull County area schools in the annual Prep Bowl competition hosted by the Trumbull County Educational Service Center at Lordstown High School. Prep Bowl is an academic competition that engages students in various grade levels in a contest to answer questions from all areas of study. The 5th and 6th grade team, who defeated Southington in a head to head battle, consisted of Faith Adamson, Ainsley Evans, Emily Evans, Logan Cheney, Ewan Hamilton, Drake Haun, Keegan Herron, Lizzy Matthews, Jana Niser, Ethan Nock, and Jaxon Wagner. The 7th grade team, who defeated Bloomfield, consisted of Lillian Atkinson, Giavania Conzett, Trip Matthews, Zachary Martich, Dominic Martinez, Julia Patello, and Austin Wilson. The HMS Prep Bowl teams are coached by Mrs. Shelby and Mrs. Congemi.
