Hubbard Elementary School has achieved an exceptional milestone by securing a 5-star rating, the highest accolade, from the Ohio Department of Education in the state's annual report card. A 5-star rating means a school significantly exceeds state standards.
The rating system, which spans from 1 to 5 stars in half-star increments, evaluates schools based on specific components. At the elementary level, schools are evaluated on achievement, progress, early literacy and gap closing. Hubbard Elementary School earned between three and five stars in these various categories, which contributed to its 5-star status.
"This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students, teachers and staff. Being one of only three schools in Trumbull County to earn this honor is truly an outstanding achievement," said Hubbard Elementary School Principal Shawn Marcello.
