Hubbard Schools’ officials present at statewide conference

Columbus, OH -- This past week, the superintendent and treasurer of the Hubbard Exempted Village School District, as well as the district’s board president and vice president were asked to present at the Ohio School Board Association’s Capital Conference and Trade Show.

The event is the state’s premier continuing education program for school board members. It provides practical solutions that help districts improve student learning and achievement.

Hubbard Schools Superintendent Raymond Soloman, Treasurer Amber Babik, Board President Don Newell and Vice President Rocky Adams shared the district’s journey to fiscal stability with conference attendees. The district detailed how it used staffing analysis, benchmarking data, financial planning and community engagement to not only avoid a fiscal crisis, but also develop a roadmap for long-term solvency. District leaders also shared the creative ways in which they worked with the union to save money on healthcare.
