Hubbard teacher takes 910th Airlift Wing Civic Leader Flight for Educators

Teacher Diane Earich recently experienced the opportunity of a lifetime as she participated in the 910th Airlift Wing Civic Leader Flight for Educators. Hosted by the 910th Airlift Wing, the event aimed to familiarize area educators with the 910th Airlift Wing and provide a greater understanding of the Air Force Reserve opportunities awaiting their students.

Earich and other area educators climbed on board a 910th Airlift Wing’s C-130H Hercules tactical cargo aircraft and flew through the Lake Erie airspace passing over Niagara Falls. The flight offered an unprecedented view of the surrounding areas, as well as an opportunity to witness the capabilities of the 910th Airlift Wing in action. Upon their return to Youngstown Air Reserve Station, the educators enjoyed lunch and had the opportunity to learn more about the Air Force Reserve and the 910th. The event was a great success, providing valuable insights and experiences that the educators can take back to their classrooms.

"I am grateful for this opportunity to learn more about the Air Force Reserve and the important role it plays in our community," said Earich. "The flight was an incredible experience, and I am excited to share the many opportunities the Air Force Reserve has to offer with my students."
