Linda Slater Memorial Award for Inspiration in Education Nomination Form

It is the goal of the Future Educators of America at Hubbard High School to recognize and honor an outstanding teacher who has inspired their students to become the best version of themselves both in and outside the classroom walls over the course of their educational career and beyond. Nominations can be from current students, former students, parents, community members, fellow staff, anyone who would like to recognize the hard work of an educator at Hubbard School.

All nominations will be reviewed by a panel who will be given the following criteria to select the one person they believe went above and beyond to inspire their students. This teacher will be recognized on the first day back to school for staff in August at our general assembly.

Criteria for Nomination:

-Have a superior ability to inspire students of all ability levels and backgrounds.

-Be an exceptional role model for every student in and out of the classroom.

-Be poised, articulate, and patient.

-Have the respect and admiration from students, parents and colleagues.

-Create an environment that inspires students to achieve and be comfortable making their own decision.

-Must have active teaching status with the Hubbard Exempted Village School District.

-Describe the impact the teacher has had on the student and how.

-Willingness to help that student beyond their expectations.

-Does the teacher handle delicate/ personal situation in a positive manner.

-Demonstrate evidence of positive effect on student learning.

All teachers having a nomination will receive a copy of their recommendation when we return to school in August. On the behalf of FEA, thank you for your time and kind words of our teachers.
