Success by Six wrapped up at Hubbard Schools, just in time for the start of a new school year!

In partnership with the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley, approximately 30 future kindergartners spent time learning the routines, expectations and skills they’ll need to feel confident as they begin kindergarten in just a few days!

We are thankful for our partnership with the United Way and the opportunity to offer this wonderful program to our youngest Eagles. Kindergarten, here they come! 🦅💙

Our middle school is looking for gently used games, puzzles and activities for students to enjoy during lunch!

If you have board games, card games, puzzles or other fun activities that are no longer getting much use at home, we’d love to give them a new home at school!

Have something to donate? Bring it to the middle school and help us build our lunch game collection!

Many of our Hubbard Schools teachers are gearing up for another school year, and on Thursday, they got a little extra appreciation at Totes of Appreciation at Eastwood Mall!

As part of the event, 600 educators received a FREE Vera Bradley tote to fill with school supplies. The day also included guest speakers, raffle basket giveaways, and local businesses showing their support for educators.

Totes of Appreciation was created after a local business owner recognized just how much teachers spend out of their own pockets to provide supplies for their classrooms! Check out the news story here: https://www.wkbn.com/news/local-news/niles-news/a-boost-before-school-event-helping-local-teachers-continues-to-grow/

We are so grateful for the community members and organizations who continue to support our educators! ❤️🖤

**Thank you for investing in those who invest so much in our students!** 🍎✏️

We are excited to share that the Class Officers have selected the date for Hubbard High School Prom 2027.

📅 Saturday, May 8, 2027
📍 Providence Mills in Girard
🕖 7:00–10:00 PM

Students and families are also invited to attend the traditional Promenade at Hubbard High School, which will begin at 5:00 PM.

While May 2027 may seem far away, we wanted to provide families with plenty of advance notice, as prom weekend falls the day before Mother's Day. Sharing the date now will allow families to plan ahead and avoid potential scheduling conflicts.

Additional details regarding tickets, guest forms, and event procedures will be shared as the event approaches!

🎨 Scaling up math to a whole new dimension! 🌊📐

Mrs. Congemi's 6th-grade math superstars at Hubbard Middle School just turned abstract concepts into giant underwater art! The students actively applied their knowledge of equivalent ratios, precise measurement, and spatial scaling to bring their favorite ocean characters to life on a massive scale.

Here is how these young mathematicians tackled the challenge:
🐙Sectioned the original characters into 32 equivalent grid squares.
🐠Measured every line with exact precision to maintain perfect proportions.
🐙Scaled each individual section up by 5x or more using multiplication.
🐠Assembled the final, supersized masterpieces together as a team.
