Dana Capezzuto’s 2nd grade class just wrapped up their CKLA human body unit in the best way, pretend surgery! Students donned doctor caps and gowns and put their learning to the test. A special shout-out to Dr. Geisler (aka “Dad” to two lucky students in Mrs. Capezzuto’s class!) for stopping by to share what it’s really like to be a doctor. Future doctors in the making! 👩⚕️👨⚕️🩺

Hubbard High School Spanish students helped spread holiday cheer by visiting the Elementary School and singing Spanish Christmas carols before break. 🎶

Our 5th and 6th grade math classes took learning hands-on this week! Students practiced fractions and measurements while making and baking cookies. After spending the week preparing, today they enjoyed a taste test while watching movies. We even had some special guest bakers join the fun: Superintendent Raymond Soloman and Principal David Reel!

It truly was the most magical day of the year! Santa paid a special visit to our elementary school, thanks to our Hubbard Elementary Parent Association. Santa met individually with every kindergarten student and then visited classrooms throughout the building. Adding to the holiday cheer, our middle school choir filled the halls with carols during his visit!
We invite you to check out our First Semester Newsletter, which highlights moments and progress from across the district. This look back features updates on safety enhancements, the addition of a new school bus, technology improvements, connections being made at the middle school, and a meaningful donation made in honor of a student who passed away from cancer. Thank you to our students, staff, families and the community for your continued support as we reflect on the first semester and move forward together.

A group of Hubbard Middle School students recently rolled up their sleeves for a hands-on cooking class at TCTC, thanks to Second Harvest Food Bank’s new middle school program.
This opportunity gave students a real culinary experience, combining the art of cooking with STEM skills, creativity and teamwork to turn everyday ingredients into nutritious meals.
Along the way, students practiced essential kitchen skills like safe knife handling, sautéing, moving efficiently in the kitchen, and even washing dishes, all while sharing plenty of smiles and laughs! 🍳🥕
