A Letter from the Superintendent (11/12/20)

Dear Hubbard Students and Families,

We understand positive cases of COVID-19 are on the rise in Ohio and in our community. The Trumbull County Combined Health District is working diligently to process positive cases, and our nursing staff and administrative team are working hard to initiate contact tracing when cases are reported to us from families and staff members.

As we move forward, we will place all district wide notifications of positive student and staff COVID cases on our COVID-19 Dashboard, which can be found on the main page of our website. We will also update our dashboard case counts. To comply with the Ohio Department of Health’s order regarding notification, we will continue to send physical letters home with students who share a classroom, common space or school bus with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19, as well as send letters home with students who participate in an activity with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19. We will no longer be utilizing our all call system to alert staff and families of positive cases, nor will we be sending home district notification letters. Instead, we encourage you to review our COVID-19 dashboard frequently, as all of our districtwide notifications and updates will be reflected there.

We want to remind students, parents/guardians of students and staff who are presumed positive, whether by laboratory test or through clinical examination, to notify their respective school building and/or supervisor no later than 24 hours after receiving a confirmed diagnosis so that we can begin our internal safety protocols.

Sincerely,

Mr. Raymond W. Soloman

Superintendent
